The Verbatim PowerBay Quad NAS system offers high performance with fast Gigabit Ethernet connections that centralize storage over a network. For connectivity, the PowerBay NAS has 2 Ethernet ports, 2 USB ports and an eSATA port. The high speed eSATA port is particularly useful for high speed mirroring via an external HDD device such as the PowerBay RAID or single drive, allowing access to data even if the NAS unit malfunctions. Real time volume replication/backup to another PowerBay NAS unit is available via the external LAN port.
