ideal.'s replacement filters for the ideal. AP40 Healthcare arrive in two, easy-to-install cassettes, which simply snap into the air purifier body. The cassettes are coated with a CleanCel antimicrobial additive and contain a true fine dust HEPA filter with an antibacterial MedShield coating and an activated carbon filter. The filters provide 99.97% filtration efficiency for particles as small as 0.3 microns, and kill 99.9% of pathogens, including bacteria, viruses, and mold spores, through a six-level filtration system. Each AP40 Healthcare air purifier comes with a washable pre-filter, which is a permanent filter and not included with the AP40 replacement cassettes. Cassettes should be replaced every 12 months with average use, and the washable prefilter should be vacuumed and rinsed every 2 weeks to maximize the life of all filters. Rinsed as often as needed.
