The cassettes are coated with a CleanCel antimicrobial additive, and contain a true fine dust HEPA filter with an antibacterial MedShield coating, antimicrobial PM2.5 filter, and a high-capacity activated carbon filter. The filters provide 99.97% filtration efficiency for particles as small as 0.3 microns, and kill 99.9% of pathogens, including bacteria, viruses, and mold spores, through a seven-level filtration system. Each AP100 Healthcare air purifier comes with a washable pre-filter, which is a permanent filter and not included with the AP100 replacement cassettes. Cassettes should be replaced every 12 months with average use, and the washable prefilter should be vacuumed and rinsed every 2 weeks to maximize the life of all filters.
