Welcome to the Gateway Printing download page. Below you will find links to files that may be helpful in preparing your files for printing. Digital Submission Checklist
    This checklist summarizes the steps needed to insure an error-free print run. Print it, fill it out and bring it along when you visit us with your print-ready files. If you choose to e-mail us your artwork, please fax the checklist to us at (956) 383-1037.

Adobe Acrobat Job Options
    Your computer needs certain files in order to accurately create .pdf files for output on Gateway's equipment. You can download the needed files by clicking the links below. The files you need will be determined by the operating system you are using.

For Mac OSX
    Download the PPD, Distiller Assistant, and Job Options files linked below by Control-Clicking on the links and choosing "Save Linked File As ..." from the contextual menu. Then:

1. To install the PPD file, drop the PPD file named "HD_MetaDimension_Trap_2.5" into the folder "en.lproj" found by the following path:
system/library/printers/PPDs/contents/resources/en.lproj.

2. to install the Distiller Assistant file, drop the file named "CreoDistillerAssistantX" into the folder "startup" found by the following path:
users/shared/Adobe PDF 6.0/Startup.

3. to install the Job Options file, drop the file named gatewayX.joboptions into the folder "settings" found by the following path:
users/shared/Adobe PDF 6.0/settings

The needed Mac OSX files are:

Mac OSX PPD
Mac OSX Distiller Assistant
Mac OSX Job Options File

For Mac OS 9
    Download the PPD, Distiller Assistant, and Job Options files linked below by Control-Clicking on the links and choosing "Save Linked File As ..." from the contextual menu. Then:

1. To install the PPD file, locate the "Printer Preferences file in your System Folder and drop the file "He_MetaDimension_Trap_2.5" into the folder.

2. To install the Distiller Assistant file, locate the Distiller folder and drop the file "CreoDistillerAssistant9" into the "Startup" folder inside the Distiller folder.

3. To install the Job Options file, locate the Distiller folder and drop the file "gateway9.joboptions" into the "Settings" folder inside the Distiller folder.

The needed Mac OS 9 files are:

Mac OS 9 PPD
Mac OS 9 Distiller Assistant
Mac OS 9 Job Options File

For Windows PCs
Download the PPD, Distiller Assistant, and Job Options files linked below by Right-Clicking on the links and choosing "Save Linked File As ..." from the contextual menu. Then:

1. installation procedures for PPDs on PCs vary depending on the version of the Windows OS you are using. Right-Clicking on the PPD link will allow you to download a file named "HDMDT2R5.PPD." Consult your Windows documentation to determine where PPD files should be put to work with your version of Windows.

2. to install the Distiller Assistant file, locate your Acrobat Distiller folder and drop the file "CreoDistillerAssistantPC" into the "Startup" folder inside the Distiller folder.

3. to install the Job Options file, locate the Distiller folder and drop the file "gateway9.joboptions" into the "Settings" folder inside the Distiller folder.

The needed PC files are:

PPD for Windows
Windows Distiller Assistant
Windows Job Options File

Note: This file has only been tested using Adobe Acrobat 5.0. Other versions of Distiller may produce unwanted results.
